    Truck Valve Covers

If you have read my RR thread, you know the excursion that I went through with my valve cover install. Anyway mustang valve covers do not work. I have the FRPP EFI 302 Valve covers and the part number is M-6000-J302R. I had a discussion with who really likes those valve covers that he would buy me a another set that would fit, and he would throw those on his carb'd 302 powered street rod. So I had a thought, this would obviously clear the intake (the oil fill is on the other side) would these work? Is the oil fill specific to one side? As in, can it be relocated from the passenger's side to the driver's side? Here's a link to the truck valve covers: http://www.jegs.com/i/Ford-Racing/39...oductId=748703

I asked about an accessory swap a while back, but stories from gadget and Scott told me its waaay too much trouble for the work.

as long as it fits under the intake, it will work. People use intake spacers to run tall valve covers. Filler doesn't matter. We can actually get away with carb valve covers without the filler neck, Mustang guys can't do that as easily.

Mustang valve covers do work BTW. I've got a set from an 85 on my car, and previously I ran 88 Mustang valve covers.

sweet...it must just have been the set I was using then, because when I tried to put the upper manifold back on, the filler neck was in the way.

usually its the plastic cap that hits, you can just break the batwing part off and make it clear, or tweak the fill tube a smidgen to clear. There isn't much clearance though.
