valve timing is what will dirty up the exhaust, not the cylinder heads

Ok, I do still have an HO EGR that I will bore out on the lath, then I will mill the surface flat and drill/tap holes for 2 studs to bolt up my throttle cable bracket to.

will the rubber boot air tube elbow still fit the the explorer TB?, because it doesn't look like our setups and use that stupid looking cast elbow the explorers have.

            sweet, sounds good.

And I did end up getting this summer job yesterday so this summer I will be 100% doing the full buildup on the motor and tranny and I'm pretty excited. It will take me a few months to get all the parts and I will probly put it all together in august some time...with lots of questions for ya's between now and then of course haha.

are the tubular upper intakes worth it over an explorer upper (worth it being an extra 15hp)? and do they have all of the needed vac line fittings and EGR passage still?

The upper isn't the issue. The lower between all gt40 style intakes is the same, and presents the most significant flow restriction. All the uppers flow very close to one another, and there isn't any significant gains of the tubular vs any other variation.

ok I'll stick with looking for a cheeper explorer "plain" upper.

I will probably get a 94-95 MAF sensor like this one...she's a long link lol

                        http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-M...Q5fAccessories

-How would I bolt this up to my intake system? Does It bolt onto the cast elbow setup off the TB on some 5.0's, or does it bolt up halfway down the intake tube?

-If I could I will just machine off the square mounting plate at the end to give me 2 round ends that I can just build into an intake tube.

-And this MAF is calibrated for 19lb injectors in a 5.0, so it will be a plug and play with the the A9 HO computer?

The air box on the later Mustang has bolts on it. If you use a later style Panther factory air box, it should bolt right to that. If you have something that involves round pipes, then they do make a flange to pipe adapter to make it fit. You can also cut the tabs off and grind them smooth if you'd like. I would suggest removing the electronics before getting out any power tools though.

For what its worth, that looks exactly the same as the MAF on my car, which I paid $10 for off a junkyard 4.6 Tbird.
