    11 miles per gallon!!?

shit man i just filled up yesterday and did my math. my mgm is getting 11 miles per gallon!!! fuck man i just replaced the radiator now no more over heating and the wife gets to use ac now but fuck 11 mpg? the car runs good timing is deadnuts 10 degrees. man i dont get it.new plugs, wires, water pump, timing chain, removed air system, new cap rotor, new map, pcv and filt, tps, iac, tfi mod, pcm. man there is prolly something new that im missing. the only thing that is out of the ordinary is that it would stall with ac on in gear so after several agonizing hours of staring at it, i turned the idle screw up enough so it would stay running with ac on in gear. any input would be helpful. shit my tahoe gets better mpg than that!!! i dont want to have to start driving the aspire again i hate that sardine can!!!

Where are you driving. Quick start up and a 5 min drive, or highway and around town.
My gf has a 2004 s10 blazer with a 4.3, she only drives like a mile each way to work everyday and it never has time to get to operating temp. She only get 15mpg when she just drive back and forth to work. Then on trips back to ohio it will get 20mpg.

o2 sensors good? I believe the computer will default to a rich "safe" setting if it cant get a reading from the o2's

short stop/go trips and a heavy foot would easily explain 11 mpg. Big vacuum leaks will too, so will faulty O2 sensors, or dragging brakes. How did you set the timing? If it wasn't set with the SPOUT unplugged, its not correct.

you might want to try 12-14 initial with the spout unplugged, your car may or may not like it

It could be anything, but if we're taking bets, my money is on O2 sensors.

It's nice to stay cool but your mpg will drop a little when the ac is being used.

I have a highly developed sense of humor. It took months to code that portion of my programming. Unfortunately it has developed beyond the point of human comprehension, so my humorous remarks will not be appreciated for approximately 53.892 years, give or take 3 hours.

i havent had to work on ford drivability since 1996 so im real rusty on using this chepo tester i think its an actron? any ways i can do koeo test but i cant remember how to do a koer test with it. also i have an old star tester in the garage but again its been many moons since i used it. i remember it has a wire broke on it somewhere, one of wires going into the self test connector i think. would it be better than this cheap tester, does it have a better koer function? fuckin old age!

depending on the scanner, basically you just start the engine and turn the scanner on. Some have a switch and read codes out in blinky light format, others have an actual digital display and a button you push to start the test process. There really are no "better" testers. They all do the same thing, but some are easier to read the codes on. The blinky light testers are a $20 piece of wire. You can get exactly the same results out of a jumper wire to ground and counting the check engine light. The old Star testers usually have a display which makes it slightly easier.
