Hey Pete, when you put the HPPs on the '85 did you need to put spacers on the wheels or no?

HPP's do not require spacers, another testament to their awesomeness. Wheel spacers suck. Although the front center cap doesn't fit with stock brakes.

          * 93-96 have a machine finish lip, 'unfenced' lug circle, and a painted center. Clear coated.
          * 97-98 have a machine finish lip, 'fenced' / pentagonal border lug circle, and a painted center. Clear coated.
          * 99-02 have a painted lip (a heavy fill-primer is/was used to fill the ridges), 'fenced' / pentagonal border lug circle, and painted center. Clear coated as well.
Or, you can buy brand new ones:

          As for the center caps,

Back to the original point of this thread, I have noticed that my new full mark on my dipstick (since it lies) is the ford oval stamped on the dipstick.
But yes, 2 drain plugs. Find the second one?

werd. after the 3rd oil change i got it done right. level on the stick reads one quart high after adding 5qts (filling filter up included) .

also did a plugs and wires change, new fuel filter, and realised the fuel pump was bad. ive got the part. almost wanted to put out some lights and drop the tank tonight in the snow. but hopefully ill get that done by new years.

werk all week. might have time tomorrow to do the thing with the pump. was going to start a thread for tank removal straps.

iirc RTFM says loosen(maybe remove) the straps lower the tank onto a support to where one can disconnect the lines running to the pump and then drop the tank the rest of the way out. i could save some time and hassle if i can avoid putting the car on blocks during the process. it looks like i might could get to the strap bolts, the tank looks like it is designed to pivot on an axis as its lowered... so long as ive got rooms to get to the top of the tank and do the think with the lock rings and the connections i might could have swap pump
