Quite. I've see other name-brand options in that diameter too. VDO Cockpit Series is one of the best-appearing IMO, probably won't clash visually in most cars. But $70 does seem expensive for something you can easily do without, thus the popularity of the cheap 3-3/8" models (or so I imagine).
