You could run a dual O2 wideband setup and most good widebands can emulate the NB signal. Or you could cheat, throw one in one side, splice that emulated output to both sides of the EEC. The problem I have with the factory running rich in open loop, at least in the case of GM, is that even though it was bone stock running 13.XX:1 AFR's, the commanded AFR was still 14.7:1. That's why factory tunes are stupid.
1992 CVLX. 5.0 HO/GT40P/T5/3.73/trak-lok with bolt ons. 02 front CVPI setup, rear HPP setup, CVPI shocks around, F250 radiator, e-fans, and the power of 3G. 15.92@89mph, 2.4 60', 4700' elevation (5500' DA) with 3.08 open rear and the old oil chugging 289. RIP.

Knock on wood…running without the EGR is working great and giving me good fuel mileage. I never did like the idea of exhaust gas going back in the intake. It’s like breathing in your own farts…!

I hope everything will run as well when I do the HO upgrade.
