    VV Cup Plugs Rebuild?!

So a rebuild of my VV carb is in order sometime in the near future. After looking over the information at hand and searching posts, i ran into only 1 problem that i can see (for now).

In order to replace the main jet o-rings you must punch (or drill and pull) the brass cup plugs in the carb. Obviously this will destroy them.... I have no idea where to find new ones or how to install them.

One thought i had was tapping the holes and putting shallow bolts and o-rings in them.

    Any suggestions??

Also to make things more confusing, Nate in MI shows in this thread what appears to be the cups in one of the bags: http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthre...enturi+rebuild

Yet on autozone website the picture doesn't look correct at all... and the price is $10 cheaper...seems fishy to me, however it could be the same kit...

*edit* i would ask Nate however he hasn't been online in months...

Ok after further research...i found that they are no longer making rebuild kits for them -_-. however, on ebay there are 2 NOS rebuild kits like the one Nate bought from autozone...so i believe i have my answer.

See talking to yourself in threads does help sometimes...lol

solution: when you can... dump the VV and get a real carb.

In the future, perhaps. But for now I'm on a quest to prove the wild beast that is the VV carb is tamable, whether I'll be successful or not is another tale. However so far so good.
