what's the PN for the good water pump?

What's the part number for the good water pump? I want the cheapest one possible...my water pump's gasket surface is pitted - I could get JB weld in the pits and file it flat but if the pump is cheap enough I could get it.

    This looks interesting:

    GMB Part # 1251440
    New Water Pump w/POLICE, TAXI, H.D. TOWING - OE # E1AZ-8501A - OE CASTING # E1AE8505AA [Wholesaler Closeout -- 30 Day Warranty] (Only 1 Remaining)

    $20.79 $0.00 $20.79

At Rock auto. Never heard of them, though it looks like it has the extra 2 bolt holes. Rock also has a fan clutch on closeout:

    FOUR SEASONS Part # 36911
Optional Standard Rotation Non-Thermal Fan Clutch; Police Pkg.

Choose: [Wholesaler Closeout - Private Label Pkg. - 30 Day Warranty] (Only 6 Remaining) ($14.24)[Regular Inventory] ($26.79)
    $14.24

I have no idea if it's the right one though, rotation?

Cheap for us is expensive for you, when all is said and done. I like the heavy duty water pump. It's about 40 USD new.

As for reusing your old water pump, I've always used ultra blue permatex on the timing cover and water pump gaskets, a nice thin coating just to take care of any imperfections in the gasket surface.

fuck it, I'm going to run this pump. it didn't leak beforehand and it's not been on there that long.

worst case ontario, it leaks and i need a new pump. i got some of that ultra blue crap today, once paint has dried i'm slapping the front end of this bitch back together.

do you put the ultra blue on both sides of all of the gaskets? block to cover, cover to plate, plate to pump (i think that's it...i don't have the car in front of me haha)

now that i think of it i probably only need it on one side of the cover-block gasket just to locate it, and on the non-plate sides of the other ones. the backing plate is fine, but there are imperfections in the cover and pump.
