    thunderbird 5.0 headers better?

    im lookn at a pic of thunderbird 5.0 headers and they look like they are bigger and dont have all the crinkles and dents the mustang ones have

    any comment on them?

    wont work with the mustang h pipe. they are weird, i have a 92 5.0 ho from a t-bird in storage..........dont waste your time with factory headers........get some hedmans or bbk's .........those sell for $159 us

    1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

      They look like tubular towncar manifolds.

      I'd stick with the stang headers...

        First, It doesnt appear those headers will work on the drivers side. Second, the big restriction is the collector size, NOT the primary pipe size or crimping. Stock Mustang headers have a 2 1/4" collector opening and some aftermarket headers have 2 3/8" collector openings, while stock CV manifolds have 1 7/8"-2" openings. The headers you show in the picture appear to also have a 2" collector opening.

        As scott pointed out, those headers wont work with a Mustang H/X-pipe, which will bolt up to our cars and used ones (Mustang H-pipe) are dirt cheap, if not free.

          Also, like Tom mentioned, those are more of a tubular manifold than an actual header. Note the common log design instead of seperate tubes per exhaust port.
