Was wondering what the correct temp range on the Vic id for the thermostat... I know they go from 160 up to 190 or 1295... Which would be good for my car down here in the south? I went to a call today, and the temp was a little higher than normal, and it wasn't that hot out today... So I was wondering if I should go to a colder thermostat... I am not sure what is in there now, but I know it isn't a 160... My engine is a 5.0. H.O..... So any help would be appreciated...

I think stock is 192. 190 or 195 would be the most proper sub. 180 works but don't go colder than that. Optimal power and the least amount of engine wear is somewhere between 185-195. If its running warmer than normal, check the clutch fan and to make sure you don't have a blanket of fuzz and dead bugs on the front of the condensor to block airflow.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
