    PS Return Hose

Trying to remove the return hose on my power steering pump. After removing the hose clamps, it doesn’t seem to want to come off.
I was hoping to reuse it and didn't want to cut it off. Am I not pulling hard enough? Is there a trick to this?

it's probably hard as a rock and needs to be replaced. You'll have to cut it off. If you're reusing that reservoir, be gentle when you do cut it down.

a foot of that hose is cheaper than a quart of type F or power steering fluid....if it is so old that it has melted to the steel line, replace it

Alright then, that will be the plan. I'm replacing the pump anyways. Now changing out the pump, I have a puller to remove the pulley, but do I need a press to put it back in? (which I don't have)

you should be able to rent a pully puller/press from most auto parts stores...(usually just a deposit which is fully refundable upon return)

the puller should be able to reverse the job (at least the one I used worked that way).

Yeah, the pullers usually have the installer thing too. Its usually just a threaded rod, a nut, and a thrust bearing. The rod screws into the pump, the bearing sits against the pulley, and you crank the nut down to push it on.
