    Filler Neck Grommet

Forgot the last step to completing the fuel system for the CV. I was trying to get the filler neck pipe into the grommet, but it's being a pain. Do you guys have any tips on getting that filler pipe into the grommet? Cutting, Crisco?

Petroleum jelly is what I used. Slid right in.

They usually slide right in for me.
How about using a little WD40 or PB Blaster?

Clean any rust and dirt off the fill neck first, then pretty much any lubricant that will go away in gasoline will get it done. No KY, its not that sort of orifice.

Awesome! Thanks guys. No, I don't have those types of relationships with my vehicles anymore. Too much heartbreak and tears! :-(
