    Squeaking from drivers front.

For the past few days I have been hearing this awful squealing sound coming from the drivers front wheel, but when I step on the brakes it goes away and when I let off the brakes it comes back. Does my car just need new brake pads or are the wheel bearings shot?

Check both, but sounds like brake pads if I had to guess. You should re-pack the wheel bearings whenever the brakes are changed anyway so its a good excuse to check. If the pads are in good shape with plenty of material left, use some brake grease to lube up the pins, and put a bit on the back of the outer brake pad where it contacts the caliper itself, it might shut it up.
