Hi, My drivers side shock is hanging down under the car. Does anyone know which size bolts I need to use to attach the bottom of the shock to the lower control arm?

1/4" Bolts aren't the issue... The control arms are stripped. You will have to somehow get nuts up there on the top of the control arm.Builder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons

Grade 5 will be plenty if you need to buy it. (1/4-20 nuts, bolts and washers on mine).

Thank you guys.
I went thru this a couple of years ago and forgot which size bolt I used. I was able to use a paper clip to place the bolt into the shock mount in the lower control arm from the top, then use the nut on the bottom. I hope this is understandable. Since then, I keep large paper clips in the tool box. There is no room to use a tool or hand in the lower control arm.

I had the same problem. I was able to tap the holes out, and install Heli-coils. I let them go past the thickness of the arms, so that the bolts had more bite. I Loc-Tited the inserts in the arm, and let them set for 15 minutes, and then used anti-seize on the bolts when I installed them. So far holding up very well at six months.
