Yup. If it was a drag car i would not have shortened police springs and a wagon sway bar in the front with heavy shocks and police springs rearhttp://secondhandracing.com/Home.aspx

It is going to get a good size tire up front, the rears were the most important because any thing above about 1/4 throttle and the tires would just spin.http://secondhandracing.com/Home.aspx

 Unfortunally I couldn't get the TRW cargo coils I check here in P.R. at Advance Auto and they can getém for me but we are talking that I have to invest in the price of the coils, insulators and shipping costs $ 300.00 dollars !BUT! it doesn't mean that in a future I can buy them. :smirk:

Sniper, that's a complete BS they've told you - these springs currently sell for about $70 and shipping will be even less than that. I used USPS's calculator to see how much would be for me to ship you the springs, and guess what - 32lbs package to Puerto Rico via Express Mail (overnight) is only $75! That makes a total of $175, which is significantly less than the $300 Advance quoted you... And if you can find someone from Florida to buy and ship you the springs via Priprity Mail (3 business days) it's gonna be less than $45.
I just checked PartsAmerica.com, they have the CC819s for $66.96, go here and try to see how much the delivery will be to your place.Last edited by Guest; 03-12-2006, 07:21 PM.

I told you, use the same coils I run...
TRW # CC819, they are about 65 bucks...
These are some of the heaviest duty rears I have seen.
Plus, I run them. It gives my car a NATURAL rake. That ain't airshocks, folks!!

Does Advance still carry the rear wagon coils?

I'm open to suggestions here folks,
I've got 8652 front springs and 817 variable rate rears. I found them a bit soft even when new.
Requirements:
-Firmer than the moogs listed above
-AND the same, or more ride height. Absolutely No lowering. I need snow drift clearance, and easy ingress and egress for two people who can't bend very well. Straight rate rear springs are acceptable.
I was originally thinking of utilizing P71 front springs ("N") and moog (Wagon variable rate) 819 rears or wagon straight rates. But have been thinking about pairing the fronts with fixed rate later model P71 rear springs (probably whatever incarnation ford has of the "E" spring) for a better balance. Anyone run this combo? Thoughts on it? Car still level or raked? (I want to avoid a front high stance)
Alex.

NAPA has some really heavy duty cargo coils, I forget the specs, but I think they top the 819's (don't quote me on that) find them here- http://www.napaautoparts.com/MasterP...le+Rate+-+Rear
I'm getting these on Friday, if you don't get to them first.
