Odd question- will 96-97 rear brakes bolt up to the 95 and lower rear brake backing plates? (i split the years because there was a mid-year switch in 95 i ran into) Theres better pad selection on the newer brake setup, so it would be ideal to go with them. Not sure if anyone has tried or can confirm?

I tried to do a part number search, there’a a PN with the F5 aka 95 designation, one site says it’s usable on an earlier model Lincoln... I can’t find a part number for the earlier backing plate. I’ll keep looking, but I feel like finding that PN is the key for definitive confirmation-Phil

a master parts manual for 90s stuff would confirm. It would indicate if one p/n superseded the other. Mine ends at 198986 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
