No cracked solder joints? I've fixed a number of various vehicle failures caused by solder joints forming very small cracks. Usually it shows up with intermittant problems that are occasionally temperature dependant.

Well, none that I could see. I guess I didn't look closely at every single joint. The slider may have had an issue with one of the joints--it looked a little dirty. I just figured that was the old rosin, but perhaps it was a bad joint, I dunno. It's back together now, but if I get a chance, I'll look it over again...

I registered to share a post I made on another site

I helps this helps people as my present issue is different in that, ALL my HVAC functions are Normal. The only issue I have with my MGM is the NO HEAT even though both my heater hoses are hot.
Again, ALL ATC functions are working except warm air being delivered.

I started the car today and within 3 minutes I feeling a slight amount of warm air which disappeared in 2 minutes and turned to cold cold

The 92 Mercury and Crown Victoria have a Unique blend door atuator and is NOT the same as other years.
The Motorcraft service number is YH-1766
as you read the link below you will see parts number updates and pricing from Obsolete to new

Grand Marquis - 1992 Marquis NO HEAT Problem - When everything on the ATC system except for NO HEAT to Interior, the problem is usually the Electronic Blend Door Actuator Notice on this CV that the parts and placement are pretty well the same....

The ambient interior temp sensor when faulty will default to HEAT not cold

Only when it is replaced and working will cool AC air be available.
