I replaced the radiator yesterday (89' GM 5.0L) and now my power windows won't work. The windows (Pass and 2 rear) won't go down from either the driver panel or the individual rear panels. I do not have a power window motor for the passenger front, so I couldn't try that. I did test the driver window motor (mostly because it was stuck down with rain in the area) -- I hot-wired it up, which shows that the motor works fine.
I checked all the fuses, including #6 (20A), and did not find any blown fuses. Furthermore, nothing (to my knowledge) was not working -- power mirrors, locks, seats, autolamp, rear defrost, heat, etc all worked fine.
Q:
Is there a "hidden" fuse for the power window motors, besides fuse #6 (or any fuse in the block for that matter)? Maybe something like a 30A fuse for a Bosch-style relay?
Would a bad switch in the driver's door cause all windows to stop working?
Any way to test the switch in the door (that has all the window controls)?
*Also, as a bonus question, what are those two fuses(?) (30A and 8.5 or 9.5A) that are silver...they're not a typical fuse. I didn't pull them out because I wasn't sure exactly what they were...
Thanks for the help! She continues to run great even after 231k aside from a few minor problems!
