Is there an auto door lock feature on these cars?

I could swear that in the past couple days when I went from rolling in reverse with my t5, to forward motion the doors locked themselves. Yes, I have a t5 manual in my car, and if it did originally come with a feature like that I would expect to know about there being a sensor. The only thing I did differently in the past two days prior to noticing this is plug in a 2 wire connector under the drivers seat that had been disconnected.

My car does the same thing. I read somewhere in the owner's manual that it's a feature that can be enabled or disabled if you wish.

Which leads me to my next question. Does anybody have a list of command functions for the keyless entry? I've seen it before which is how I leaned to lock all my doors by pressing the two last keys simultaneously. This list would probably explain how to enable/disable the autolock feature.

Maybe this thread has something? I kind of skimmed it over:

The plug you mentioned being under the seat probably goes to a weight sensor. It probably triggers the autolock feature and having it disconnected disables it.

I've seen a complete list of commands somewhere. Maybe in the manual?

Just last week I disconnected the autolock feature on two cars, it's easy.
BUT, the procedure is slightly different depending on the model year.
You just can't unplug stuff to make the autolock go away.

With the 2 wire connector disconnected under my seat, the auto lock did not work. Plugged it in 2 days ago, and now.... It works.

and apparently it works off of a sensor that can tell when you either go in or out of reverse or perhaps senses reverse or forward motion. I believe it also senses a driver in the seat somehow.

the keyless entry cars had this. It works off the reverse light switch and there is indeed a weight sensor in the driver's seat. The system senses an ass in the seat, and it will lock the doors when it shows the reverse light circuit be powered and un-powered again. Shift it in and out of reverse a few times and you'll hear the locks try to engage. Theres a guide on the system features here. Same thing used in the Towncar as the Mark VII.

The only difference is the location of the codes. Its usually on the driver's side trunk hinge, or on the module itself. The module on these is under the dash, in the passenger side kick panel area.

Just tried this 5 times. No love.

Using the buttons for the keyless entry system can deactivate the Autolock feature. To deactivate the Autolock system:

                    1. Enter the permanent five-digit entry code (not the personal code you may have set). 2. Within 5 seconds, press and hold 7 / 8. 3. Within 5 more seconds, press and release 3 / 4. 4. Release 7 / 8.

i did it on my Mark VII a week ago and it worked. Do all of your buttons work properly? If you've got a dead one, its not going to work.
