I'd caution that to properly fill it, get it up at a STEEP angle (ramps, jacks, hill...), and run 'er till fully up to temperature. Leave the radiator cap off and keep on filling.
I did this job on my sister's wagon and the heat didn't work... the heater core had never filled when left level, even though we'd run it until hot with the cap off. We had to get the front end up high before the air bubble ever came out.
Just checking, you can bypass the heater core with the HO motors if backflushing it causes leaks, right? My '91 has lousy heat & I'm gonna have it flushed, and if it leaks just loop/elbow the hoses if needed until I find a new dash & am ready to swap.

you can bypass the heater core on any panther... just put a section of pipe between the two hoses that go into the heater core.
Or just take the hose off of the core side(that goes to water pump) and clamp it onto the intake fitting.
