    cleaning whitewalls or letter stains?

my trusty fantastic wont work on the stains from the tire spray soaking some black tire color into the white lettering when the tires were stacked. I'ma wondering if theres tricks to whitening it up again... tires are a few weeks old and only 1 tire has the stains.

    thank-ya

x4, usually works pretty good, even takes off brake dust. use black magic for tire spray if you want that nice wet look.

Tire shine sprays are a joke. Clean the tires well, then apply 303 Aerospace Protectant.

Probably not, that's basically all a Brillo pad is. I personally like the Brillo method, though I ended up usually using Bleche-White and a brass brush on my Radial T/As.

The consistent success of any abrasive method made a lot more sense when it was explained to me that whitewall and white-letter tires actually have a layer of white rubber underneath the black outer sidewall ......
