does the trunk logo just pop out?

I know the C pillar ones do and the ones on my Mercury did but does the LTDCrownVictoria badge on the back have the 2 or 3 pegs to go in corresponding holes in the trunk lid, or is it glued on? Mine looks like shit.

I'll probably use a little bit of silicone just to make sure the pegs stay in there anyway

What's one of them worth anyway, like 5-10 bucks? No j/y boxes around these parts.

Mine was just pushed into some plastic holders. Stick you head in the trunk and see/feel around for anything behind the emblem.

The emblem on the left is just stuck on with double sided tape.

The key cover logo could be pried out, but it'll damage something. The entire emblem is held on with two very large pop rivets.

Whats that v8 logo from originally?

            Alex.

What are the text badges made of? any real metal in there? with my new found dremel powers I could try...worst case scenario, the letting looks worse...but I can probably make it at least look uniform

i do! how much do you want for the little bastard?

i will wait until an LTDCrownVictoria trunk emblem becomes available somewhere on here before I get it.

if they're just glued on could I stick a different style one on in its place? i have a few good condition grand marquis badges laying around if for no other reason than i have one already, and of course, to confuse people. i've already gotten a few with the grand marquis dash trim, especially now that you can see the LTD hood ornament perfectly hehe

err, not glue, double sided taped. do you think the emblem, having been on there 20 years, would have changed the appearance of the area or left an imprint in such a way that it would be noticed with a badge that wasn't of the exact same dimensions?

The paint will have faded, but you may be able to buff that relatively uniform, and with another emblem obscuring it, it probably won't be super noticeable anyway.

Also, if you aren't against buying a specific tool to get the residue off, once you peel off the old emblem use one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/3-1-2-PINSTRIPE-...item35a94a3da4 on the remaining glue. Doesn't burn the paint or mar the finish at all, and it'll get it spotless.
