    Tail light take apart

    Hi,
It's been a while since participating here, mostly since my car sits back at home. The vinyl roof is cracked and feeling I need to start working on the car again. At least I can look upon the stuff on this site for perspective.

Is there a good post for taking apart the rear tail lights? The gummy black butyl that holds the lens and silver light recepticle together. Preferable without cracking it. That stuff is cemented.

    Thanks,
    Mike

That is how you're supposed to jack it.

some have used gentle use of a heat gun to help release the glue.
