Put my Grant steering wheel in today...

I got my new steering wheel installed today, the parents bought it for me for Christmas, it's so beautiful! And since you guys seem to like how clean my interior is... I got a few good shots. Just ignore my crusty floormats lol.

There's also a good shot of that LTD dash emblem I got from LTDMan83.

Thats a super sweet wheel man. Also, your interior is spotless... just how I like them. Nice work.

+1 - that wheel does look pretty nifty. I've wondered how that style wheel would work in a Panther, and now I see it really does work. Don't suppose you got pics of the shaft adapter and hooking up the horn button?

Looks great. Damn airbag will prevent me from ever having a cool steering wheel like that.

That wheel really matches the rest of the interior nicely! Great choice!

How's it feel position wise? Not dished too far so you get the wheel in your chest just to reach the pedals is it? Looks good.

I don't have any pics of when I was doing the wiring, but something came loose so I'll be pulling it apart on Friday more than likely lol.

Position wise it feels perfect. It does set closer, by about three inches or so. I am now able to have the pedal at a distance that feels good without having my arms outstretched to get to the wheel. I like to keep my legs stretched out a little while I drive, helps keep them relaxed.

Sweet! Nice to see I aint the only one who lays the seat belts out flat lol! Wheel looks great too!

BTW, what model detector is that? I got me a Driver STI a while back and it seems to do pretty well.

How did you get around the cruise control and all of that? That wheel looks great inside of your otherwise stock interior. Perhaps I can make my old three spoke walnut steering wheel work in my ma's CV.

The wheel was from Summit, just make sure to get the 13" lol. There's nothing you really have to mess with for the cruise control, it's basically in the wheel itself. Never had to mess with any extra wiring, I never used it anyways so I wasn't concerned about not having it.

Blaze, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only person either... it just bugs the shit out of me to see them just tossed around!! I'm OCD when it comes to cars lol.

That detector is a Cobra, 11 band I believe. Cost $120, but got it on sale for $65 about a year back. I believe it's discontinued now. Cobra makes some really nice radar detectors if you ever need another one, and Meijer puts them on clearance or on sale all the time lol.

Here's a closer up shot of it...

This is the one I've got in the Bonneville. It's one of the newer designs. Not sure on the part number for this one either, but it's a 12 band model.
