Offenhauser catalogs list two of these Dual Ports for the 289-302 engines. There's the 6009 square bore (my model), and a 6010 for spread bore carburetors. I dunno how many folks would have gone for the spread bore option on a Ford, considering you'd have either needed to change over to a Quadrajet or one of the few spread bores Holley offered.

Finally got a carb sourced to go with the intake swap. Ordered a Summit 500 CFM 4BBL unit, which from what I've been able to find online has patterning similar to that of the Holley 4010, and preceding Autolite 4100, but with respective updates to how it sits now. This does feature annular boosters, which is similar to my existing Autolite 2100 2BBL, and vacuum secondaries which should be more than sufficient on this is setup.

This should be more than sufficient for this engine configuration.

            It does indeed.

I've long wanted to try out an Autolite 4100 or one of the clone carbs like this one or the Holley 4010. I'm a big fan of the Autolite 2100 and associates so this design seems logical. Definitely curious to see your thoughts on this one once you've ran it.

Also considered trying one of these. Keep us posted. They seem like a good fit for stock and close to stock small blocks.

Hopefully this weekend I'll have some functional information regarding that carburetor. My friend did agree to help swap the intake, but we're working on his Miata first, valve cover and front strut replacement job. Something tells me it'll be iffy getting all of those things done in a day.

I did attempt to do one thing, which was remove the sheared off throttle hold down bolts from the intake. Reverse drill bits and extractors were unsuccessful, so I'm going to just drill the remnants clean out, fill with JB Weld, then drill and tap those mounting bosses back to a 5/16"-18 thread.
