Good work Ben. However long it takes so be it. Just don’t make it feel like an extra job, but something you can turn to and fiddle with a few hours here and there as a therapy so to speak. I’d like to do some patch panel work like that one day. Looks like fun.
Been working quite a bit on the cab. Got the new drivers side floor in. Custom made some patches for the rear of the cab. Got the cab corner installed on the right, and patched up the left which was fairly solid. Welded up the rust holes at the bottom corners of the rear window. Did some dent removal with a paintless dent removal tool from Eastwood since I had it on hand with mixed results. Decided to just weld a nail to some places and jerk the dents out without making holes.
Picked up two front fenders on Marketplace a while back. Those were rust free but more beat up than I thought once I got into them. A lot of hammer and dolly work got them better, and a coat of epoxy on those and some filler made decent enough to run.
Been sanding on the cab. Got some more to go still.
Three coats of SPI epoxy on the bottom side and new seam sealer where appropriate. That feels like a step in the correct direction.
Been slacking on pictures. Here's a few.

Middle of a nine monotheistic drought and it spits rain on my wet epoxy this morning. Also the regulator at the gun blew up without warning. Not sure what I did to piss off karma this morning, but it's not my day today.

Goodbye old step bumper. It was bent. Need to source another but absolutely hate the way replacement ones fit.
Goodbye bed. Confirmed this truck originally had a single rear tank. The in cab tank was added later by someone who used whatever leftover hardware they found.
Cleaned up the the frame and rear axle. Got some satin black on all that. But forgot the picture.
Did some cutting. Beginning project 87 bed to 74 bed transformation.
New used (from a 95) front panel installed and started fitting the new left bedside. Got it half welded in today. Will finish tomorrow probably.
