Solution for the horn problem, get an MF switch from an 84. They had the horn built in to the turn signal lever. Push in and blow. Minor re-wiring to put the horn wiring back on the MF switch is needed but that should be trivial.

wow those are really nice floor mats you have there. my floor mats are, well, i think they are the originals floor mats that came with my car. they have no grip left in them. once during a rain storm my car was running and i step in.. my foot slid on the floor mats hitting the accelerator i almost ran into a building. lets just say i was very fortunate. heres a pic of them.

Shouldn't keep your car in gear when you leave it, stuff like that can happen. I always put the car in park/neutral when I get out.
And Colin, that are sweet floor mats, they go well with the rest of the interior. I had no idea floor mats were that expensive. Was that $27 for each, or for both of them. I figured floor mats would be like 10 bucks a pop.88 Town Car (wrecked, for sale)

Decent mats, although I probably would have bought ones that matched the rug. Yours however do match the black theme you have going on. Looks good. Also, I used to have a tach like that. Then when I added all my other gauges I had to have the matching tach. Very nice.
Rojas, looks like a clean interior. Nice.**1976 Ford F-150 4WD: 360, 4 spd, 3.50s, factory A/C, 4" lift, Bilsteins, US Indy Mags, 35s Cruiser

Theres some real nice ones on ebay. They have a checkered flag design and all.
The ones I used to have in my Vic had the Ford oval and "The Best Never Rest". I still have 'em around here.'89 Ford LTD Crown Vic - '92 Ford F-150 Custom -

This thread hath inspired me to buy new floor mats (they are carpet that match the dark blue already in the car). I still think I like the thick rubber ones better though.**1976 Ford F-150 4WD: 360, 4 spd, 3.50s, factory A/C, 4" lift, Bilsteins, US Indy Mags, 35s Cruiser

I have OEM ones from a 95 Vic in my car. They fit nice, but I need to look in a newer car for the locking device thing that holds the driver's side mat down. Its got a hole in the mat, I'm assuming it has some sort of locking tab that pushes into something in or under the carpet. Also need to find rear mats for the car. I like the rubber ones for how easy they are to clean, but I drive barefoot much of the time in the summer, so I have a preference for nice carpet underfoot.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
