Anyway, a new development for Vicky. Today, I went to a junkyard I haven't gone to in a while, because I've basically given up on Miss Idon'teverfuckinganswermyphoneandalsodon'thavevoic emailbitch's '87 Vic. I managed to get the piece of frame I needed for 25 bucks. Thanks to dad, and my uncle's battery powered sawzall. We then went to the junkyard I normally go to (Shorty's) and there were no new pre '88 box vics. So I looked toward getting Vicky an '87 style Grand Marquis front, and getting a Mexican Grand Marquis grille. Lol. I'd call it a 'Virk.' Anyway, on the way home, I saw a tan '86 parked in some bushes, so we stopped at the place, and knocked on the door. No answer, so we went around back and spoke to the owner of the '86. He said that he'd rather not part that car out, but he told us to look at a black vic that was hidden behind a Subaru somethingoranother. It turned out to be a tudor I could use for parts. Why use it for parts you ask? Because the rear end is smashed in. Something that was higher than the bumper rear ended it, trunk and all that good stuff in the back is destroyed, except for the bumper. It is a 1981 Ford LTD. The paint isn't that good, but it doesn't really matter cause it's getting new paint anyway. I can get the hood, header panel, fenders and core support for 100 bucks, plus my old hood (to cover the engine). I didn't want the bumper since it was badly pitted and I know of a good bumper in the junkyard anyway. So I start deconstruction of the black LTD on Monday after school. Weather permitting. And the frame should be fixed as well sometime this week as well. Vicky will be better than she was prior to the accident! Wee!

cool man. a shame that the tudor was smashed...may have gotton a good deal on it? But 100 for the goodies and 25 for the frame is a frame is a great deal. Glad you were able to find something.
Lesson of the story is....never hurts to ask...never know what you may find...and tree always beats car.~David~

Dave, I probably could've offered him 400 for it, and he would've gone for it. He has a bunch of old cars behind his house, some old continentals, actually, now that I think about it, most of the cars were Fords, some chevy truck, a subaru, and a bunch of boats.

I thought you posted them already. Well, we made a big jump today, as I started disassembling the black parts car. So far, after 4 hours of work, my dad and I have harvested the header panel (grille, lights and bezels), hood, bumper inserts, and drivers side fender. I put all the bolts and little connectors in bags and labeled the bags to ensure that the reinstallation would go very fast. I may be going to get the core support and passenger side fender tomorrow. I probably would've had everything if it didn't start raining. Vicky is sitting at the mufflershop with a tarp over the engine bay, waiting for the piece of frame to get replaced with the piece we got from the junkyard. We delivered the car there yesterday around 5:30 pm, and I must say, that wench was so tired from pulling the car up the trailer. And even the damn truck was crapping itself pulling the car. The guy who was supposed to fix the frame didn't have any time today, so hopefully, it will be done by tomorrow. If that's the case, then we will pick up the car instead of going to the guy's house. It's my parents anniversary tomorrow, so I kinda don't want to have my dad an hour away on his anniversary. Though I think mom loves the alone timeI am not going to paint the core support white. I am going to sand it and paint it black with rustoleum paint, and be done with it. That way at least I can get the cooling system buttoned up again. It's a perfect time to hang the replacement transmission cooler too.
