If I had that beauty, I would get a futon mattress, and throw it in the back, put a kickass sound system in with either a remote control or a head unit in the back, black light and some UV-on black velvet art work, a nice heavy black velvet curtain betwwen the back and the front seats... Turn it into a D-LUX shaggin waggin.
There is a big nursing home right near here, Willow Valley, and one of the girls who works there has a beautiful 1967 Cadillac Superior hearse. She used to drive it to work, and the old people loved it, but the management made her stop driving it because they thought it might be bad for buisiness if it looked like people were dying every day.

As for the rear, I believe I'm gonna put a bench seat back there, I found one out of a Plymouth minivan that fits and is the right color. Maroon velvet will cover the plywood, and some red neons under the seats would look pretty badass. I could also, as GoodSamaritan mentioned, put it back to stock easily enough. It's an on-going debate in my head.

I think you should convert it to how it was in service as a hearse. It's kinda creepy and messed up, but it's still cool in a way.

Now that I really look at it, that looks like the same one that was used for my gramma's service up in PA. By any chance is it from a parlor near Allentown?

It would be nice if they left the old roller panel for caskets in there, that would make it one hell of a parts hauler. Toss an old engine or something heavy on it and roll it right in

Quite possibly, how long ago was that? I bought it from a guy in Lancaster about 6 months ago, he was the one who removed the rear table and beat it up as a daily driver. I don't know how long he owned it for, but he probably bought it from a funeral home nearby.

I used it to haul a transmission and 2 torque converters just last week. I have used it to haul around band equipment: my 2 guitars and amp, 2 other guitars and 2 amps, and a full drum kit will all fit back there with room to spare. Of course, that goes for all Country Squires, I'm sure.

Yep, the vinyl top stays, and the landau bars too. I'm gonna leave the body pretty much alone, except for the dents and scrapes.

                      Back in November '99.

All of this talk about hearses and wagons is upsetting. I've been wanting a hearse or an older wagon for a while now.

I considered buying the car but even if it did have seats installed in the back none of my friends were willing to go anywhere with me. lol

Nobody rides with me anyway, so that wouldn't be any change for me. Not my driving, I just can't get motherfuckers to go do anything. Might as well drive around by myself in a unique car.

It's better that way, no one messing anything up. I hated it when I gave people rides with my Vic and they'd mess with the radio setting and stick up the car. If no one rides with you then you don't have to worry about that.
