So, either it was tossed out in a careless deconstruction (which is unlikely), or it was removed prior to our ownership...
As a matter of fact, we had a '98 taken apart to the same level, and never found the build sheet either. More than likely that sheet burned up though (the car was a burner...).
Thats a project, Jay, but you're off to a good start. I would coat the floor in something to prevent it from future rust. Unfortunately, you car has a tan interior, and every one I've ever seen has had unreasonably dirty seats. All the cars on Ebay with that color interior also seem to have strange stains on the seats (the front ones at least). I managed to pillage a set of nice dark grey seats from our parts car. They were mint (with 66K on the clock). I guess it depends on who owned it, but the tan seats always seem to be worn more.
If I were you, I'd try and find a carpet too. The rubber mat cars are great for vacuuming, but they are louder inside. The carpet provides a nice sound barrier, especially for road noise.
Anyway, they are nice cars. My Dad's P71 has been a great car thus far. The 3.55 gears are pretty nice too...
Last night I was using Boiling hot water in a spray bottle and mildew and soap scum remover, and a shop vac. It got out most of the tough stains.....But it needs a LOT of scrubbing stillMy arms felt like they were going to fall off.

Use Upholstery cleaner mang, It'll get all that crap out, without having to scrub the shit out of the seats.
My towncar seats were Junkyard Filthy when I first got em, after about 4 hours of scrubbing with Upholstery Cleaner, they are damn near as clean as the day they were made.

just for a gallon? hmm... I'm going to take babyblue in to get an estimate to find out if I have my friend to the body work to the area I'm not replacing, and doing the primer. see how much it'd cost to have it repainted the same color. I don't paint myself, don't have the skills, gun, or area to do it myself lol.sigpic[LIST][*]99 Crown Vic Police Interceptor aka The Cruiser

Eagerly awaiting pics, but you were right about the cheap ass paint job, that shit's pathetic it's like they don't care about their cruisers, the police down here, keep their squad cars spotless inside and out.sigpic[LIST][*]99 Crown Vic Police Interceptor aka The Cruiser
