I already have a Billet coolant overflow tank installed. (Look @ the sliver thing on the Fan Shroud)
Tried cutting the washer/coolant tank in half, still wouldn't fit in the stock space. The little electric pump inside it was dead anyway. I need to find one a little smaller to mount remotely, and have been looking at the stock pieces in some of the new Chrysler products.

Still don't have a battery in the Box, and it's been sitting for over a month, so tonight I decided to put the Bull's battery into the Box and go for a spin. I captured some crappy exhaust vids with my camera while I was at it. I'm gonna pull the entire exhaust off sometime next week and run Open Logs/Cats w/ turndowns for awhile, on the street, just to fuck with the Rednecks and their jacked up trucks with open pipes around here  . I'm gonna be rebuilding the entire spiel with 2.5in pipe, next after I finish the Bodywork. So I'm gonna just go ahead and pull it off now, and have some fun beating the crap out of it for awhile. In a way I kind of want the engine to have a catastrophic failure, so that I will have an excuse to speed up the engine swap process.Being it runs as good as it does, the only reason to swap engines would be to gain more Torque.
Here are the Vids, they were better quality but photobucket compressed the crap out of them, though now even our members on 56K should be able to view them. They were taken at night so you can't really see much, these are really just for sound. You'll probibly have to turn your speakers up loud to be able to hear it correctly.
Exhaust consists of Stock Logs/Downpipes/Magnaflow Replacement Cats - 2 1/4 h-pipe - Flowmaster 40 2 chamber mufflers - 2 1/4 Tailpipes.
Coming out of fast Idle warmup, then Idleing.
1/4 Throttle - Regular Acceleration (Blower whining sound on accel is the CAI)
Slowly pushing the loud pedal to WOT, rolling up to 75mph then backing off. (At WOT Engine is louder than the exhaust inside the car)
I love the sound of an SEFI 302, who's with me on that one?
Starting to think I might be better off going with some quieter mufflers next time, especially when I'm gonna be doing away with the cats.
Let me know what you think about the current exhaust sound/opinions on good sounding quieter mufflers for an exploder engine w/ no cats. Keep in mind I don't want it to sound like a Racecar.

Dynomax Ultraflows and Magnaflow performance (the XL 3 chamber mufflers are about as loud as turbo mufflers which aren't much louder then stock mufflers) flow real well, are quiet at idle and make a noticable but not too loud deep tone on acceleration.88 Town Car (wrecked, for sale)
Walker OEM duals with muffler deletes

That's a very tempting offer Scott, but I'm gonna have to decline on my end. Not that your not a helluva mech, I would fully trust you with the care of my Box anytime. I appreciate the offer though.
I kind of want this one to be just my project, so that when I'm finally done with it, I can look back and say, that I made this car what it is today, fully 100% myself. The amount of Money I will save really means nothing to me, the fact that I restored an entire car by myself from wrecked to custom show quality, with no help from anyone else will mean everything.
I would still paint your Towny anytime if you could get her down here, and leave her with me for a few weeks, or longer depending on how much bodywork it needed.

No one likes the sound of the exhaust enough to comment????...
Tis ok though, I've already gotten tons of compliments in person, on how good it sounds from inside & outside the car. No interior droning at any rpm, which is the main thing that matters to me. I've even had some of the local Mustang guys I hang out with sometimes, tell me that it actually sounds a little better than a stock HO 302.
The only reason I am changing it, is because it is gonna be way too loud once I de-cat it and install the exploder engine. I'm going for more Flowmasters again, because I just love that Signature Sound. Just gonna get some quieter ones this time. The new "Hushpower" series should be an excellent fit, for what I'm looking for. Which is a nice Tone on accel, without being overly loud.

*stammers* I like it, I like it!!!! And yes I do like the SEFI sound of the late eighties. I loved the sound of the Mustangs when I was a kid. I am hoping one day to capture that same sound for my mom's CV.

Woohoo! Finally got a inside location locked for painting my car. It's my mom's fiancee's private garage, at his house. It's has enough space for anything I need to do, including installing my 6 florescent light fixtures along the sides of the walls, so I can fully see every detail during clearcoating.
He has his fully resto'd & customized '32 Ford Coupe, along with a Badass '67 Camaro in there now. (Don't worry I will get pics of them) This saturday I'm gonna go over and drive those outta there, and get to installing 4x8 plywood sheets along the walls, as it is only framed inside there right now. Maybe if I'm lucky he will let me drive his '32 Ford, he has a '93 MPFI HO 302 w/ a E303 cam & custom tune done to the ecm. The 93 block is from a t-turd, and the rest of the HO parts are from a 95 mustang. The E303 cam and custom tune are from a local speed shop. He also has a fully custom & working R-134a A/C system installed in it.EFI & working A/C in something that old is pretty badass and impressive, to say the least. Look at me, I'm rambling about someone else's car in my Car's Thread, lol. Who cares though, it's 10X cooler than any of my current cars will probibly ever be.
Very glad I now have a place to paint though. Painting outside is just Far to risky, not only for me, but for the finish of the paintjob as well. Now I just need to find the time to get started on and finish all the filler work, along with all the various Body Mods I have brewing in my head.Stay Tuned Mangs!

Thx Mang, I will keep all you mangs updated with pics as the progress happens.
I've been busy for the most part getting my new DD up to my standards, so I haven't put much work into her lately.
The only things I have done over the past 3 weeks have been:
-Finished the decklid's Gap fitting
-Removed the old adhesive tape from the bottom lip of the decklid, and Epoxy Primed the area (temporary)
-Installed the correct model Ford Turbine center caps
-Removed the Entire Dual Exhaust, except the PS Tailpipe and muffler, Re-Installed the old 2in y-pipe and clamped it onto the PS Muffler & tailpipe. Just wanted to see how it sounds before I rip it all off. Seems like it may have more Torque w/ Single Exhaust.
Thinking about replacing the entire PS Rear quarterpanel, if I can find one in better shape, not sure yet though.
Here are some pics I took earlier today.Last edited by LTDMan83; 08-28-2008, 08:41 PM.

The DS tailamp housing and Both lenses came from a 79 LTD Landau. The Beige PS tailamp housing and license plate bucket came from an 85 LTD Vic. The Decklid and Rear Bumper/related trim came from an 87 LTD Vic LX. The Coach Roof trim came from an unknown Box in Idaho, courtesy of fatnasty, who actually got me a refund from UPS 3 months later after the piece was slightly damaged during shipping.
Every bodypart I needed is now installed, from here it's only a matter of fixing the PS QP, and deciding how much further I wanna go with the Body mods.
