Plans have changed for this one.

Next month, I'm buying another '87 LTD Vic w/ Coach Roof from my buddy in VA, Tiggie.

The body/frame is in better shape than this car, and will be a much better car for me to put my Work and Time into, to turn into a Show Car.

Don't worry I'm not gonna just scrap this Box, as much as I love it. She is gonna be destined for the Drag Track.

When I first get the other 87, this one will turn into a Parts Car for awhile, because I want the Entire Mint Interior out of it, as well as the Non-vent front door glass, and the Non-ditch light Front Fenders, from this car. As well as 100's of other little things, to help make my next '87 the Super Box/Showcar.

After I'm done with the other '87, I will be piecing this car back together, el-strippo'ing it, and most likely throwing in a Custom setup Blown & Intercooled 302. So I can lay some chevy's to rest at the drag track.

I love this car, I've put a helluva lot of work into it, and it really is still very beautiful, but unfortunately I'm a perfectionist, and I know I will never be happy with ANY Car that has been in an accident. I'm old enough now to be able to Realize when it's time to let go, and move on to the next great thing I'm gonna start.

You should buy Tiggie's 82 so we know it'll have a good home.

He sold it already. I wasn't looking for another project at the time, and couldn't have afforded to buy it and get it back here anyway. I wish I could save all the nice boxes I find, but it's just not possible on a regular mangs salary. I am at least gonna get to save one of them though.

I think he put the AOD from the 82 in the 87, so it has No 2nd gear now. I'm not really worried about anything that's mechanically wrong with it though, as I'm just looking for a Clean Body/Frame to start from scratch with. Judging from the pics he has sent me, the Body is in much better shape than this one. Even got him to send me pics of the Entire Chassis and Bulkheads. Everything is Very Solid, Which I think mainly was due to the car being from a Very Dusty environment. It doesn't even have the Classic Used Oil & Grease coated front suspension and steering system, (from leaking valve covers) like mine, and most I have seen before.

I'm excited about going to get it next month, and even more excited to get to finally get ripping into my new project.

After I finish getting all the parts I need off of it transfered over to the other one, It will be fully pieced back together from the leftover parts. Then I'm gonna finish the rest of the bodywork, and am probibly gonna paint it Flat Black w/ White racing stripes, since it is gonna be a drag car.

Yessir, I think it will work out alot better for me starting fresh with a good body/frame. I'm very critical of my own work, and am never happy if I settle for less than what I feel is good. This next box project will have no time frame, as I want to take all the time I need and make sure everything comes out as flawlessly as possible, since it will be a show car.

That'll look neat. Even gloss black with white stripes would look good too. What have you decided to use as a powerplant for the show and go Crown Vic?

Being this is gonna be a Track Car only, I don't really wanna put forth all the bodywork it will require to paint this car GB. Besides, Flat Black is just about my favorite color of all time, next to Deep Wedgewood Blue of course.

The '87 I'm getting next will be the Show Car, and will most likely only be getting an stock Exploder motor.

This '87 here is gonna be the Go Car, and will eventually be getting a Blown/Carb'ed 302 w/ AFR Heads. Looking to be at around 450HP before I'm done.

Yeah, but the blower whine should dull most of the pain from the starved wallet.

Yessir, it sure will be, but this is the Hobby/Cars that I love, and I can't imagine wanting to spend my hard earned Money or Time on anything else.

                            That's what I'm hoping!

I'd like to go with EFI instead of carb on this one, but I'm not that rich......yet, lol. So a Blown/Carbed motor will be my quickest ticket to 4-500hp on a 302.

                            --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been doing various things to this '87 in the past few weeks, to help out with the sleeper look I'm gonna be going for with this Box. The main bulk of which has been Deleting all the lower chrome trim on the entire car, and the hood ornament. Damn sure made everything look much smoother. With the beige color/copcar front glass & smooth FF's , it looks kind of like Blaze's '86 Now from the front and side, lol. I'm only gonna be keeping the Chrome trim around the windows.

Going with the smoothy Base Model look with this box, as I don't want both my '87 Boxes to look the same, lol.

Once I get the other '87, progress on this one will take a back seat for awhile for the most part, until I finish my other Showcar Box.

                            --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Going to pick up my new Box project from VA next weekend, VERY Excited to get going on it. Gonna take my time with this one though, and make sure everything comes out as flawlessly as possible.

I will post a RR Thread for the next '87 as soon as I get home. Now that I have a digicam all my work will be documented, unlike before.

With this next project you mangs will get to see Pic's of it's progression from Start to Finish. From POS to Showcar.
