Looks really nice. I'm guessing they did new padding too? Was that done at some national chain, or is it a local place?

Looks really nice. Now I'm wondering what blacking out the window frame around the rear door glass would look like?

I tell you people, vinyl is the way of the future. Its bound to make a comeback soon, styles recycle every 20-30 years so I'm betting within the next 10 years we'll see tops on cars again.

Looks great, but I never would have spent that kind of money on vinyl when you have to constantly take care of it so your investment won't be ruined.

Can't you take out the piece around the window and put in a larger window to convert to non coach? That's what I would have done, but that looks amazing even better than when it rolled out of the dealer.

yea, that's why I did this instead of going slicktop....there's a fiberglass structure aroudn the back window and the rear window in this style is smaller, it would be more trouble/money than it's worth.

altho, at one time, I had the idea to go slicktop and fill in around the window with bondo to make a real unique look. but, I decided against it for money reasons and cuz I liked the look of the black top.

                          .
By that same logic, we should never repaint cars either. Vinyl lasts about as long as the paint does, provided both are taken care of.

...not to mention bondo is probably the worst way to do it...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm mostly certain Scott goes from coach to non-coach and vice versa on different vehicles, and has done it more than once.

The only slicktop conversion I know of that Scott did was on a non-coach roof car. It did have vinyl, but no fiberglass shell.
