and I hate to disappoint. OOooohhhhh i hate being torn!
I should get a chance to check out the front end and all after work tomorrow... which reminds me, I forgot to mention the "greasable" solid upper control arm bushings dont have any grease fittings... just plugs where the fittings should be... I hope they aren't wiped out.

I forgot to mention it smells like its had an animal living in it, and there's a little of what looks like cat vomit on the passenger seat. just a little...
I went and poked around at it some more... Its looks like it may just need an H-pipe to fix the exhaust leak. The mufflers and tailpipes are new.... if thats the case...
I also saw evidence of power steering spooge on the fan shroud and surrounding area. if the hose is the only major leak, they aren't that expensive...
Brake line and fittings will probably be under ten bucks.
If I dont find anything else wrong with it... I may just have to keep it! If I can get it to run right... oh god what have I done!Last edited by 85crownHPP; 09-18-2009, 11:44 PM.

What kind of radiator do you have? My uncle still swears by those HO powered cruisers. He was kinda stoked when he saw my mom's CV.

hhmmm I guess a bit of my pride died while it was stuck in the middle of the road while I tried to restart it
I'll trade you for your 2-door! You can even keep the carb stuff, and I'll keep the fuel injection to put on yours!

I'm impressed, the body looks very nice in those pics. Wouldn't mind having that body here to toss 351 parts at. Of course, I also kind of like white boxes.
I'm guessing you must have only died temporarily on the way home?

Sounds like it needs some work.... But at least it made it home.

I made it!
The brakes actually worked half decent with the vice grips dangling off the rear lineI bent the line back over itself and clamped the two bits together reeeeeeaaaaalll tight
After a nice refreshing walk to it I added a little oil and was off... embarrassingly it stalled on me in the middle of the road as I puled out of the lot... and again at the stoplight... and again coasting down the road, and about 3 or 4 more times before i could get it up my driveway! i suspect a spotty TPS... if you just nurse it from idle it wants to stall, but if you press past that point it bobbles and then recovers.
It could also be one of many vacuum leaks... the evap hose was barely hanging onto its connector and both it and the MAP sensor hoses are soft and sticky like taffy
I had to slap myself on the back of the hand because I was about to swap out a TPS and start replacing vacuum hoses tonight :nonono: "no Pete, do not fix the box"
A few interesting things I noticed so far... its the 'fancy' cruiser, almost all the options except cruise control and premium sound... Its got autolamps, automatic brake release, lighted door panels, carpet, and power windows/locks. Also the 100 amp alternator (perfect to put my large case 3G on!... NO!!)
It has all three coolers, some kind of weird horn looking thing that may be a PA or sirenand the trunk light is hooked up to a huge toggle switch

If you decide to part once...i seriously have dibs on the seats if they can be transported to Scotts when SF10 comes around and if you dont want them.

Well it started right up with a fresh battery... off the bat I can hear a bad exhaust leak and the PS pump is really loud.. probably empty.
The line is leaking at the typical spot, above the crossmember. I crimped it off and seems to have decent enough brakes to make it the 1/2 mile to my house.
Im gonna wait till dark because the inspection sticker is expiredLast edited by 85crownHPP; 09-18-2009, 05:34 PM.
