Please let us know if things are working or not. This is still somewhat a work in progress so don't be too surprised if things magically appear from one visit to the next.
Now that's a fitting POTM. How many POTM ([insert any other car of choice]OTM) are running enough power to grenade the rear diff? You should clean the ring gear, chrome it, and put a chain around it. Then don it Flava Flav style
Best part of blowing something up is teardown! Terminally dick'd would be the proper term for my rear end.
I've had a Trick Flow girdle laying around for months, I was waiting till I put 4.10's in to install it. Guess I will still be waiting
I was beating on the car all night working on my tune, I had just finished and was leaving my house and simply rolled into it, didn't even dump the clutch or anything, soon as it hit the power band in first, started spinning, then BOOM. Oh well, just another thing to upgrade. I was wanting to go to an aero rear end anyways.
But yes, blew the caps right off, broke one of the bolts, bent the other 3, destroyed the ring and pinion, broke a spacer, ect...
wow, that is impressive.
as we say in the south... "it dun blowd UP!"

This time as soon as broke loose and started hopping it was game over.
Wheelhop/tire shake..........killing diffs/ring gears/wheels studs since the 1900's lol........that is some sweet luck you at least killed it in front of your house
Rodney Tolleson, me at the track.....future drag box racer!
It's nice when that happens. I had the brake line on the CV burst in the driveway and a rotor split in half on the Malibu in the driveway. Also had to both lower control arms fail in two different parking lots in the Olds Delta 88. Very fortunate indeed.
Yep, a 92-97 with 4.10's and a girdle.
I'm going to box the upper and lower control arms, and install poly bushings (these rubbers are so shot)
I'm also going to at least attempt to use an aero rear sway bar so I can upgrade to an Addco rear. Should only require a little fab.
