          Looks like a nice house.

The prices of real estate around there are much nicer than they are around here.

Yes, I hope to get started on it later this year.

I sent that POS to the junkyard, where it belongs...

                  j/k

It's sitting in my backyard. The left side of the house has a 2nd driveway, just big enough to sneak the car past the side of the house and into the backyard. No current plans for her, but to pull her engine/ECM/harness to use in the Lincoln for awhile. After the Linc is mostly finished I will get back on her.

Had some spare time today, so I thought I'd throw out a small update for you mangs.

I have a slew of parts waiting and ready to go onto this car. Among which is a clean, strong running '91 EFI HO Motor, and Accessories that are currently sitting out in my shed. Should be a straight forward swap going from Carb to EFI. The only hangup I see is that the '87 EFI wiring harness has 2 small 4-8 wire Grey connectors that go into the car on the DS top part of the firewall of the '87 Grand Marquis, which the '80 Mark VI doesn't have. I assume that these wires and connectors have something to do with the Run/Stop and Fuel Pump Run circuits, and will have to be spliced into the stock ignition switch wires. (someone familiar with the EFI swap, feel free to jump in here) I'm not the best with figuring out electrical circuits, so I may need you guys help when I come to that bridge. Other than that everything seems pretty simple and straight forward with the swap, and I shouldn't have any problems. I can't wait to get her out on the road for the first time. Should be a day to remember, because I know that I'm gonna be driving the hell out of this car for the rest of my life. May even pass it on to my future son or daughter someday. I couldn't possibly bring myself to DD this rust-free beauty, too many idiots on the road, gonna have to find a not quite as nice 85-89 Box Towncar to DD.

I've also bought a few needed aesthetic parts for her recently.

NOS DS & PS Tail Lamp Lenses.

Only the DS one can be considered true NOS, because only it had the original factory box.

Hard to find Mark VI Emblems, in nice shape. (Courtesy of Slymer.) Thanks Mang!

The EFI HO Engine swap is coming next, very soon. Doing that shite out in my driveway. Gonna be a pita, since my yard is one big hill, but you gotta do what you gotta do to get things done, when you don't have a garage to work in. At least I have concrete for the Cherry Picker to roll on this time. Then I can finally get back on the restoration work, and maintenance work that she needs to be reliable and road worthy. I'm really enjoying working on this project, because I'm not trying to build some incredibly immaculate show piece, just a car that I will Love and Enjoy driving for the rest of my life. Stay Tuned.

Had some free intarnetz time today, so I thought I'd throw out a update for you mangs. I've been hellaciously busy with work and my life lately, endless stream of projects/girlfriend/family etc...and have had zero time to work on anything of mine. Probably won't have the time again until mid summer. So, I've been using this time to plan what I want to do during the build, as well as collecting parts for the build.

I had to finally move the car behind my house the other day, as I've grown very weary of people constantly stopping by, 3-4 times a week sometimes, wanting to buy the car, and asking if it's for sale. Never had a car before that so many different people want, people from all walks of life, it's kind of a strange feeling to me. I guess quite a few people out there still love these old classic pieces of american automotive history, that or the movie the Lincoln Lawyer has alot of people wanting old 80's Box Lincolns again. Either way, she will stay hidden away behind my house from now on, until I build a garage, because she will never be for sale to anyone, ever, and I'm getting really tired of people asking me constantly. I'm sure I've only seen the tip of that iceburg so far though, lol. The tow-truck/rollback driver who delivered the car to my house here a couple months ago even said, dude you are gonna have people bugging the shit outta you to sell this car. I didn't believe it at the time, but he was damn right. At future shows/cruise-in's, and probably even parking lots, I'm gonna just avoid the hassle, and put a sign in the rear window saying "This Car is NOT for Sale".

I've also finally decided for certain to keep the car it's original "Dover White" color, and thought of a permanent name for her, which is now and will forever be "White Lightnin". It will be very fitting, since the car is of course white, and will have a F-150 Lightning EFI 351 equivalent engine inside her very soon, and if you knew me personally you would know why I chose that particular name for my car, lol.

I got a nice and clean '91 HO EFI 302, along with a metric shitton of box accessories and upgrades, sitting inside my shed right now, as we speak, ready to be cleaned up, sandblasted, painted and go into the car. The numbers matching 351w block is getting sent off to the machine shop for a full rebuild, as soon as I get it pulled later this summer. It won't be long this time before she hits Super Box status. I'm swimming in money right now, so it's only just a question of how much time before it happens. Free Time is the problem right now. Gonna be sliding the 302 HO in this summer for sure though, so I can get to cruising this beauty. This Lincoln is just begging me to take her out and cruise. Can't wait!!!

Pics of the engine swappage, and full SEFI conversion are coming soon.

That's irony for ya. When you're not working much, you don't have money for the projects, but awhen you get more hours, you lose the time to work on the projects. It's f'd up how that all works out. Can't wait to see this project completed though. You gonna hollow out the truck and put small tank to transport the WL?

Yep, it's indeed a vicious cycle, it's all about finding a balance between working and making money vs having free time for your life, which is what I'm trying to do now is find that balence, and no this car won't ever be used as a transport vehicle. It stands out far too much, and I would never want to take a chance of losing it. The key is to blend in with every other car on the road, for that you need something modern.

lol, I have a few of those stories, but mine has more to do with the 1973 Burt Reynolds classic.

Been awhile since I posted in here. Pretty much spent the entire summer working, and taking short vacations at the beach. Between that and building up/restoring my T-Bird this summer (which is almost complete), I haven't had the time to work on this baby even once. That will soon change though. Waiting until the extreme heat, and mosquito infestation of summer dies down some, before I get back to work. The only possible hangups that I see for the EFI 302 swap on this car are the wiring circuit for the electric fuel pump, and the engine Start/Run/Stop circuits, and getting those spliced into the ignition switch, so that everything works from the key. Also possibly getting the early model carb Digital Fuel Level Sender to fit into the later model EFI Fuel Tank. Other than those possible hangups it should be a fairly easy and straight forward swap.

Also swapping in a standard Fully Rebuilt AOD, and grand marquis sedan Driveshaft, in place of the long Lincoln AOD and shortened Mark VI Driveshaft. The rebuilt AOD I have now is one of the smoothest shifting AOD's I have ever experienced, so I probably wont go back to the old Lincoln AOD ever, as I see no reason to. Can't wait to start cruising this beauty. This car would look seriously sweet cruising through the streets of beautifully lit downtown Charlotte at night, with all the other classic Lincolns, during our Lincoln car club's cruise nights.

All the back-breaking labor that it is gonna take to bring this car back to life, and get her roadworthy again starts soon. Can't wait to get out there and put some blood, sweat, and tears into her, and really make her mine. I'll take a few pics here and there of the main aspects of the build to post up, but I don't really have the time or desire to document every single detail of any of my builds anymore, not even for my own personal car album, just don't care about that anymore, that and I don't wanna touch my $900 camera with grease stained hands.
