Here's to beginning a space to gush about this car. I'm so geeked about seeing the wagon in the driveway everyday and getting to drive it daily makes life even better.
I've got big plans for this car (bigger plans than minimum wage will allow) and by beginning small, I'm working to make this car perfect in every way...well, perfect to me.
Thus far, since buying the car in December, I've given it a tune-up, made the door locks operable manually (power coming later), and replaced the radio antenna today.
There was a long hiatus during the family move and subsequent temporary lack of income where things stagnated, but I'm getting back on track financially and the wagon is finally getting the attention it deserves. In a couple weeks when my next paycheck comes, I will finally get the exhaust sorted. I have the H-pipe and tailpipes from a 1989 Town Car to replace the non-existent set-up, and plan to pick up a pair of Magnaflow mufflers to quiet things down.
The only body work of concern is a dent on the rear driver side quarter panel. Once I figure out how to access the back of the panel (the bit behind the storage cubby in the trunk) I will push out the dent and replace the mangled aluminum trim above the dent. Will post pics once I've taken some worthwhile.
I'm excited for this project because it's my everyday car as well as my dream car.
