    1991 Colony Park -- Cleaner...but with a unique smell.

Here's to beginning a space to gush about this car. I'm so geeked about seeing the wagon in the driveway everyday and getting to drive it daily makes life even better.

I've got big plans for this car (bigger plans than minimum wage will allow) and by beginning small, I'm working to make this car perfect in every way...well, perfect to me.

Thus far, since buying the car in December, I've given it a tune-up, made the door locks operable manually (power coming later), and replaced the radio antenna today.

There was a long hiatus during the family move and subsequent temporary lack of income where things stagnated, but I'm getting back on track financially and the wagon is finally getting the attention it deserves. In a couple weeks when my next paycheck comes, I will finally get the exhaust sorted. I have the H-pipe and tailpipes from a 1989 Town Car to replace the non-existent set-up, and plan to pick up a pair of Magnaflow mufflers to quiet things down.

The only body work of concern is a dent on the rear driver side quarter panel. Once I figure out how to access the back of the panel (the bit behind the storage cubby in the trunk) I will push out the dent and replace the mangled aluminum trim above the dent. Will post pics once I've taken some worthwhile.

I'm excited for this project because it's my everyday car as well as my dream car.

Here is my list of repairs, mods, and esoteric crap I plan to do in the near future. Will update as things get completed, I think of other stuff, or I give up on certain dreams.

    In no particular order:

    *Matching headlamps

    *Rear air deflector

    *Power locks operational

*New stereo head unit and speaker setup

    *Valve cover gasket

    *5-speed swap

    *High output swap

    *Replacement wiper motor

*New socket and bulb for passenger ditch lamp

    *New shocks for rear

sounds like you've got a nice, realistic plan going there.

If by matching headlights you mean one more more looks "dull" and greyed right now, I'd make that top priority. the difference in vision is significant.

      Oh, and

85 4 door 351 Civi Crown Victoria - Summer daily driver, sleeper in the making, and wildly inappropriate autocross machine
160KMs 600cfm holley, shorty headers, 2.5" catted exhaust, 255/295 tires, cop shocks, cop swaybars, underdrive pulley, 2.73L gears.
waiting for install: 3.27's, Poly bushings, boxed rear arms, 2500 stall converter, ported e7's, etc

06 Mazda 3 hatch 2.3L 5AT (winter beater that cost more than my summer car)

Nearly all of that can be done in a weekend aside from the t5 and engine upgrade. Good luck and keep picking away at that list.

Pics coming, I promise. I wish I had the funds and a full weekend to handle it all at once. Instead, I'm spreading things out in a manageable way. Transmission is probably more than a year away, along with the engine upgrade. For now, I want a comfortable, dependable daily driver, especially since I'm leaving for school this fall and won't be working during that time.

Forgot to mention the rust hole in the torque box...need to get that welded up. Any suggestions that keep the frame on the car would be helpful.

Please tackle the rust before the other items on your list. I don't want to read a thread in the future about the frame giving out on a hoist...

Here are a few snapshots I took this afternoon. Car could use a thorough cleaning and a wax soon.
