Checked into my power window problem today. Took all the door panels off and found that all motors except to the driver up function is getting 12 volts from all switches for up and down.

I took the driver switch apart and cleaned the contacts and now they all get 12 volts. So now there is no switch problem, so I guess all the motors are just burnt up. I didn't think this would be the case but I guess it is.

The driver motor was removed, probably because the previous owner got it to go down and not up (dirty switch) so he took it out to prevent accidentally putting it down. Pretty stupid

they could just be jammed up with the little bits of broken nylon bushings all around. Take the gear cover off the ones you do have and see if the motor turns without any crap in there.

Great idea, I'll be checking into this on my next off day. The drivers door looks like the regulator cable is pretty chewed up so i'll most likely just get the whole assembly.

I was looking around at prices and has anyone ever bought anything from 1aauto.com? They have free shipping which makes them cheaper than rockauto, and like half the price of autozone or oreillys.

Front pair: (Don't really need, but its pretty cheap)

I don't see the make of them on the site but they look like the Dorman ones on rockauto. I say this cuz of the unpainted arm but that's not a lot to go on. I think I'll buy from them and see how they are. Probably just get the driver for now. Slymer may be right about the other motors, and all the others have good regulators

I changed all 4 regulators only on my old 97 MGM, less than $100 for all four - I ended up changing the drivers window again a coupla years later. If (when?) I do the 03 I'll use a good quality reg on the driver's front.

Cleaned the maf and IAC out today, also buffed out some scratches with some rubbing compound and replaced a cracked reverse light.

Anyway here's some more pictures. One of the bad cracking fender

Sorry about the finger, couldn't see the screen that well

Drivers seat is torn, and the forward back motor is clicking so ill be looking for a whole new seat soon, hopefully with the same options, or just a new track with the memory option.

A carpet shampoo and some new OEM mats (check Ebay) would do wonders for the interior.

Hopefully you can find a seat out of the junkyard. The light grey is a common interior color for those years.

Yeah there's 2 locally now in yards, but no memory or heated seats.

And yes I do need some new mats. One thing at a time

Figures. Is the leather in good shape and the right color? You could swap the cover and then at later date grab the new tracks from whatever you can find.

Yeah it's some of the worst I've seen. It couldn't have looked any worse with whatever kind of dent is behind it.

Alright guys I'm gonna be getting some stuff to work on the car this weekend and had a few questions I'm pretty sure you'll have the answers to. I'm gonna get some brake pads and an idler arm bushing to put on this weekend.

Would I need any special tools to change my brake pads and idler arm bushing?
And also what's the visual difference between a steel and phenolic brake piston?

                              Thanks guys!

Put some new spark plugs in today. Went with Motorcraft platinums which is what was in it before. The old plugs were pretty fouled and I can definitely say its got a tad more umph with some fresh plugs.

I used air compressor and a vacuum first to get all the dirt and leaves off so they didn't fall in the wells. Overall was a pretty easy job the only plug the was a b**** to get to was the back passenger. I removed the wiper box assembly to get to that one.

Next job on it will be brake pads all around and hopefully the idler bushing soon.

Also I'll be adding an ipod2car in so I can plug my phone directly in as still keep my factory alpine unit which I like anyway.
