Mine sure do. Always sliding all over the place. It really does help immensely when I buy bed rail caps made out of antilock braking systems.

            Wash, Polish and Wax

I went a little crazy on my daily driver today.

The Dodge has 44K miles on it now; been a while since I updated this thread...

Anyways, Mequiar's #7, followed by the NXT 2.0 Tech Wax. Nice combo.

I will be putting on exhaust system #5 since I've owned the truck (2 years); maybe next weekend. This time its a pretty stockish Dynomax system. The exhaust has been open after the y pipe for about 6 weeks now, and I am tired of the noise.

I love this truck though. Its days like these when I remember why I really keep it, because it shines up really nice.

The only modification its gotten in the last 8 months is the 100 club placard, and blue line decal.

With the exception of the exhaust, the only other mod I have planned is darker tint. I'm also trying to get a special plate. NF.

These must be the stick-ons on the rear bumper. What do they say/mean?

The blue line decal has something to do with being a cop.

The 100 club is a club that collects donated monies and dispurses it to families of police officers injured/ killed in the line of duty.

Basically, I support the local authorities...

Thin blue line shows support for law enforcement. I have heard a couple different explanations of it. The one I usually go by is: blue is the "good", its law and order and all the officers that protect it. The black is crime and chaos. The blue cuts through it, its like the light in the darkness if you will.

This one is a summary of what Wikipedia says: The blue represents the officer and the courage they find deep inside when faced with insurmountable odds. The black background was designed as a constant reminder of our fallen brother and sister officers. The line is what officers protect, the barrier between anomie and a civilized society, between order and chaos, between respect for decency and lawlessness.

Trucks looking good! Why did you take the blower off?

The blower was unsafe for a daily driver.

For what I spent on the blower build, I could almost build the white car to its current state.

What do you do for rust prevention?

I see a lot of that gen ram here in Chicago, that rot out bad on the bed wheelwell. Also the rockers.

                        Truck looks great btw.

Yeah, the municipalities in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan all hate cars. I've speculated that automakers must have subsidized some of the road salt usage in this state just to keep people coming back for new cars every few years.

                            George.

I spray drain oil into the doors, cab corners, rockers, wheelhousses, frame, bed crossmembers, cab crossmembers, etc.

                            Its totally rust free.

Yeah. Use the old oil that you drain out of the truck at your next oil change. If its too thick, let it sit in the sun a little, or thin it with a little diesel/ kero.

I like to do it in the summer, because it flows out well.
