    Interior SWitch (cop car)

Here is my plan. Buy an 03 or 04 Ex cop car and do a interior switch. I.e seats, carpet, maybe headliner and door panels.

my question is: Am i restricted on the years i can use? Will the years 98-07 fit? Or do i need to talk to a wrecker about specific years?

That is a good question. I know guys with pre 03+ cars have put in 03+ seats no problem. The door panels and styled different so I don't know if they attach the same way or not.

So you're looking to buy a cop car and install the plushy stuff? Might be easier to buy a non-police car and swap on the sway bars and stuff. That way you'll start with a nicer car, and probably one with a whole lot less miles and abuse on it, and you can add the police stuff to make it handle better.

That is a good idea. But my problem is my current lack of monetary funds.

Just look around first before deciding on a used cop car is all I'm saying. It might be cheap up front, but you may find that its very worn and abused, and requires a crapload of money in parts to get it fully functional again.

One thing you are forgetting Gadget, the 03 ups have more power than the civilians since they now have a specific PI head.

You guy's do realize that there is an aftermarket full of 4.6 performance?
I'd say just get a nice LOW mileage Vicky and a few ford mags and have fun.

The police cars got the Marauder air box and a different zip tube, along with a minor PCM change to handle the airbox. Not a huge change, but it can be done to a civi car without too much trouble. I think its like 15 hp or something.

Or would be fun to watch the progress of a Vicky turning into a ripsnortin muscle car!

I think it's only 04+ CVPIs that have the updated zip tube + Marauder airbox. The 04+ zip tube will fit on most 4.6's (I think), but upgrading to a Marauder airbox and MAF will require a computer tune.
