    behold, for all to enjoy:

normally i dont share my secrets, but i'd thought i'd help the panther community with the long-awaited white face inserts.

this is a simple do-at-home process that takes only a 1/2 hour to install.

i dont reccomend this if your not crafty for dangerous with knives. you will need a razor blade or prefrerably an exacto knife, non-glossy photo paper (glossy paper will provide too much glare)

    copy and save this image:

if your a photochop wizARD, you can add some graphics if you like. i added the Ford emblem in the middle.

now you have to find the right software, but you want to print in 'landscape' form, with the image shrunken down 50%. this should work, it works on mine.

    print.

you will need to fill the extra gaps on the side, use a blank sheet and cut to fit.

there is a red dot in the bottom center of the image, try getting the spedo needle opening to be about where it goes. if you still have you 130 limit tab, you can check for accuracy by aligning zero to zero, and then pegging it to the tab, it should read zero. it may take a few tries but you should get it. i reccomend printing the 'rough drafts' on regular white paper until you find the size that fits it perfect. also its easier to cut the holes on regular paper, then use it as a template for the photo paper

use the exacto knife to cut out the hoels for the idiot lights, odometer, shifter, gas gauge, etc.

yeah the other version i had the numbers too big. didnt work out, so i shrunk them, used 'arial narrow' font (except for '55') and its actually less squished than even the original.

                :stupid:

I'd like to see it. Exacto knife cuts don't sound like it's gonna look all that great, but then again I'm kind of a perfectionist.

no pics yet. been busy with work n stuff, havent had the time to cut it out.

and trust me, with a ruler and a good eye, exacto knife cuts will look super clean.

when all is said and done, should this fit on one normal size piece piece of paper. I copied it into my pictures and put it in my editing program, and it automatically sized it down to the biggest that could fit on a piece of paper. So, your cutting out everything that is black? I could see the numbers being a huge p.i.t.a, and the lowercase letters being difficult to cut out accuratly. And when you got time, can you post a pic or link of the paper you are using.

it wont. i need 14" paper. the speeedo almost 14" wide. 8.5 x 11" would never fit.

I still don't think it's gonna look all that good. Would be best if you didn't cut it at all. Especially since the letters are white. But either way, here is a cleaned up version of your image. Would be even better if you just made one from scratch and just used that as a guide for the placement of the numbers
