    Door Lock Issues

Ok I am wondering what it could be. On my 90 I went to lock it and only like one or 2 doors locked, the other 2 I had to hit lock serveral times to get that slider to the lock position. The main problem is with the front doors and how they have the gay slider instead of the normal lock like in the rear doors. I mean they lock it is as if it doesn't have enough power to lock them in one push of the button. Are my actuators going on it or do I need to lube something??

    Thanks

Probably both. But, try lube first. It's cheaper. Over the years with dirt and such, the joints get sticky and thick. Give the latch assembly a good soaking with WD-40. If that doesn't help, time for new actuators.

Yeah, they've probably just gotten stiff.

Just be glad they aren't like mine. The ones in the front doors were siezed up before I got the car, so I just disconnected 'em and now I have to lock the front doors manually. Kind of a pain, but oh well. At least I can lock it.

One of mine is starting to take a dump too. If they aren't seized yet, you can lube up the latch mechanism and probably get some lube inside the actuator to keep it going. Might need to consider ebay shopping for some replacements.

Ok I will lube them up and see what happens. I need to fix 3 windows anyway so it will work out.

What nutcase wants to get out of the car and go over to the other side to lock the doors or wind a window up? F that. I can control the world from my seat thank you very much.
