Courtesy light Issue

The final "gremlin" of taking the whole car apart for paint is the courtesy lights. As soon as i put fuse for the lights in, they all stay on (footwell and the overhead light) . All 4 of the white smaller ones in the door jams are connected. All the the longer black ones in the b pillar that face toward you are also connected. The front doors are different to the car and i did remove the wiring before paint. I am pretty sure i connected all the wiring. Any insight?

Are the doors making contact with the switches?

do you have your headlight knob rotated to turn on interior lights?

You know that might be the issue. With the headlight knob. Ill check later. I forgot about that.

Checked and it wasn't the headlight switch. Going to try to rotate and test each "white" door switch and see if it is abd switch or as suggested they are not making contact

Hold the collar of the door switches and pull the center (adjustable bit) out. It can be hard to do. Once all are out some more close the doors on them and they will set into place by themselves.

That was the trick, had to do that with 2 of the doors. But now its all great. Thank you again.

Great. So a couple of them were just not making contact with the doors to turn the lights off. Nice.
