3 Point Belts in Back Seat

I'd love to convert my mgm and mark to 3-point belts in the back seat. anyone else ever attempted that? If I did it, I would add bracing in the trunk to help support it.

lol... yeah... well... I'm already married and the Mark is getting set up for church duty. I'd like to have 3 point harnesses for when kids get big enough. I plan on keeping the car a long time, but I would like to prepare for the possibility of crash happening. just lap belts suck royally if you've got forward momentum.

Aren't the 90s Vics and GM's set up with rear 3 point belts? I believe they tie into the C pillars though.

you should be able to do the mgm pretty easily as the '90-'91 had three points in the back.

yeah thats what I was thinking, 90-91 boxes had 3 point belts. Should be able to retrofit such a thing if you wanted / needed to.

nice... prolly just harvest the 3-points and rear deck carpet. I may look into that if/when the time comes.

90-91 have 3 point only for two outside seats. Middle is still a lap belt.

The upper attachment point is on the c-pillar. No need to swap out the rear deck carpet. That being said, it's not an ideal location for it geometry-wise. Better than nothing however.

hmm... guess they changed that in the aero. those mount on the rear deck and have the carpet go over.

The 91 wagon has these cool little hangars for the 3-points that hang from the roofline.
