    Installing mechanical gauges

I'm trying to install a set of Sunpro mechanical gauges and can't figure out where to run the copper line through the firewall. Been at it for two hours now and I'm ready to just say the hell with it at this point.

    Where do I run it?

I'd drill a hole and put a grommet over the line. I can't think of a good spot that's already there for those gauges as they usually don't come with very long lines that would allow passing through a section of the main grommet at the top of the driver side of the firewall.

Yeah, the copper line should be about 2-3 feet longer. As for ease of use, I'm pretty disappointed with these gauges.

As for drilling, my drill just crapped out on me. I'll have to see if i can borrow one from someone.

harbor freight has whole kits of bits cheap. Not great, but they will make some holes.

if you can find the rubber grommet that the vacuum line for the parking brake release feeds through, that may be an option. Its somewhere around the gas pedal if I recall. Find the vac release valve and follow the hoses.
