Hope you can make it also. I would really like to meet you.

Well I'm working on some pretty complicated exhaust mods, and while under the car noticed my water pump is leaving a pretty much constant drip. Sooooo now I'm rushing to finish the water pump and the exhaust before Friday morning....

Also just broke two bolts off in the timing cover.

If I don't get the opportunity between now and then, y'all can help me install my new CB antenna and my Grand Marq police speedometer!

oooo. I'd love to see that!

Most I can help is removing the speedo cable from the back of the speedometer. Not to familiar with how the Grand Marquis trim pieces come apart.

Oh. I rather not bother fighting with that knob.

does the headlight knob actually need to come out to get that panel out? Seems to me it does not, but I may be thinking of something else. Only pulled a GM speedo out once.

It looks as if it does. The trim that goes around the speedometer also wraps around the headlight switch knob.

or you can pull the knob off it's shaft and leave the headlight switch in. then just pop the knob back on the shaft after you put the trim on.

Either way, the knob has to come off.

Got the water pump all finished up, now as long as the exhaust works out I should be back on schedule.
