I am so excited that there is forum for Grand Marquis and other big Fords fans. I have 2 Grand Marquis a 1985 and a 1989. I uploaded pictures of my 89 with this post. The car's original vinyl top was white, I had it re-dyed to navy blue in 1996. I install 5 percent limo-tint in the back window and the back doors windows, the front windows are clear. In the back door vent glass is sand blasted a rose and an unopened bud. Stencil cost $8.00 and paid someone from a glass workshop $35.00 to shoot it. It also has duel exhaust and a new engine with less then 40,000 miles on it.

I recently did some rust repair on the passenger door and the back fenders. I sprayed a product called Rust Guy on to it. There is a chemical reaction with the rust that turns it to something called, "Super Steal." It is the first time used it on my car. I did sprayed on my rim of my spare tire for my Silverado pick-up first. It took a few days to react to the rust, but I was impressed by it. Did not harm the paint.

I am in need of some molding clips for the front passenger door, if anybody has any extra ones I would gladly pay $2 piece for about 8 to 10 clips.

These pictures were taken just after I got done putting 4 coats of wax on her.

Looks good. I like the re-dye done to your top, looks good. It would be nice to see a close up of the glass etching you had done.

I live about 40 minutes away from Fargo.

fargo is nice been through a couple of times. central north dakota is a different world not much out there
