    New to Panthers (diesel freak)

Hey all, bro bought a CVPI and I was impressed with the better handling and responsiveness over all the other domestic sedans I've ever piloted. So now I'm considering one for a commuter car as it'll get a little better mpg and gas is a buck cheaper than coal oil.

I put many years in F150's before i went sooty. So I know the guts of FoMoCo stuff from 74-90. Ready to learn the "modern" FMC stuff. Last several years were all Dodge/Cummins (94-02 platform).

Compliments to the fine Moderators and Admin for a smooth and painless and quick registration process.

      Welcome!
If you do decide to get one for yourself you won't regret it. These cars are both cheap and easy to maintain.

            Yeah, but was it affordable?!?

            Welcome home, mang!

Just curious what year CVPI you got? My '03 Ultimate routinely gets 26.5 mpg hwy with cruise set on 60-65 with the 3.55 rear. My old '99 with 228k & 2.83s was 32.5 at the same speeds before the intake started leaking at the crossover (design fixed in '02 & with police intakes you didn't have to worry about it I think).
            ,
Slicktop '91 GS HO 4.30 rear. '82 Mark VI Tudor HO, '90 F-150 XLT, '62 project Heep, '89 Arizona Waggin' and '88 donor in PA, getting combined.
