79 LTD 2dr on Copart (Detroit MI)

I had a steel front bumper on The Ice Car ('91 MGM) and an aluminum rear bumper. I always thought the front bumper was the original bumper until I had someone run the VIN out of curiosity and found that it had been in an accident (right front I think) in like 1993. So it may not have been the original bumper (it has been replaced with the aluminum bumper off my '89), but that tells me that the MGM had steel front bumper as an option at least through 1988 unless it was a replacement part only type deal.

Also, I'm not really a fan of US Auto either. Sad since I live about 3 miles from the place, but I'd rather go all the way down to Detroit.

It wasn't a clean cut-over. Aluminum as early as '81 but steel on '85...

Thanks, I'll have to put a magnet to the one on my 84 and find out what it is.
