they may overhang a bit... check the other side... if the other side looks like it's not up to the edge, the gasket may be on backwards. I'm pretty sure that if he lined it up on the IAC, then it's probably a bum IAC... OR... there's massive carbon buildup in the throttle body that needs to be cleaned out. Take the intake hose off and peek in where the flapper is. with the engine off, move the throttle lever wide open and if there's a lot of black coating there, it needs cleaning. carburetor/throttle body cleaner is the stuff to get for the job. the directions for use are on the side of the can. follow the directions and repeat until the black goop is gone (doesn't have to be completely gone, but at least within the flapper area). I've had to do that a few times to my panthers and they always run better afterward.

Have to keep my foot on the gas when stopping at a light or stop sign to keep the car from stalling on me. Any ideas what I need to change or take a look at next? Also,if I have to turn the steering wheel all the way, like when backing up,car dies too. Going to tune this thing up next. Thanks for the info. John
Did you clean the throttle body out before you replaced the IAC? Throwing a new IAC on an oily dirty throttle body will just make that one all dirty too.
